As the spring culminates Blair manages to demolish her academic opponent, Nelly Yuki [role enacted by Yin Chang], so as to maximize her probability of reaching the Yale University. Then there is the war between Blair and Jenny over the top position amongst the elite girls, Blair finally regaining her position by exposing Jenny’s gay boyfriend. She is however careful in consulting Eric before opening the affair as he was the boy who was seen making love with Asher, Jenny’s boyfriend. Friendship is gaining grounds in the hearts of Vanessa and Nate Archibald, something that is really surprising.

Serena has to face some uneasy times as her old friend Georgina Sparks [ Michelle Trachtenberg] comes back in her life to reveal Serena’s biggest secret till date. She was a cause of some one’s death. To cover up this secret, she tells her lover Dan that she slept with some one else and this marks the end of their affair. But Serena finds comfort in confessing to Nate, Blair and Chuck and then subsequently confining to parents of the dead person. She is now confident to face Georgina who has taken up nom de plume of Sarah and is trying to have sex with Dan in order to upset Serena further.

Blair knows all about Nate and Vanessa and she knows it from Nate. A day before her wedding to Bart Bass, Lillian spends the night with Rufus after the Lincoln Hawk concert. Dan realizes that Sarah is actually Georgina, but she comes up with more excuses to cozy up with Dan. And she seems to be successful as Serena sees her coming out of Dan’s bedroom in the morning. The plan is spoilt though because Dan makes Serena believe that he never had sex with Georgina. In turn Serena spills out all the truth to him, hearing which Dan appeals for Blair’s help to finish off Georgina.
