Life:
Rutherford is the eldest child of now divorced, model and writer Ann Edwards. She has two younger sisters, Lindsey and Courtney along with a brother Anthony.
Kelly also has a boy from her second husband named Hermés Gustaf Daniel Giersch, who was born on 18th October, 2006. She is currently pregnant with their second child.
Kelly Rowan, of The O.C. fame is a good friend of Rutherford and is interested in yoga which they do along with Marcia Cross and Lisa Rinna.
Career & Works:
Kelly is best known for her work on shows like Generations and Melrose Place, apart from Gossip Girl. The list of her works include: Homefront (as Judy Owen in 1990s), The Great Defender (as Franky Collet in 1995), Kindred: The Embraced (as Caitlin Byrne in 1996), Threat Matrix (as Special Agent Frankie Ellroy Kilmer in 2003), a recurring role in The Adventures of Brisco County, Jr.( as Dixie Cousins),etc.

She also had a small appearance in the 2000: Scream 3, and also on now shelved TV series called E-Ring (as Samantha "Sonny" Liston)
She is currently working on the character Lillian van Der Woodsen in the popular teen drama soap ‘Gossip Girl’.
