Settle is the youngest son of Dr. Robert (a Baptist minister) and Joan Settle. He has three brothers and two sisters. He eloped and married Jewish, Israeli model/actress Naama Nativ with whom he has a daughter too.

Mathew Settle is best known for his role as Capt. Ronald Spiers in the series Band of Brothers and his characterization of Rufus Humphrey in the hit CW network show Gossip Girl.

Gossip Girl:
Rufus is a former rock star and now owner of an art gallery. Prior to marriage, he was involved with Lillian van der Woodsen, whose daughter later dates his son, Dan Humphrey. His daughter, Jenny’s behavior does upset him quite a while, sometimes taking help of Lillian in his children’s matters as he is separated from his wife Allison.
